Dave Eastgate is an actor, stand-up comedian, writer and musician who lives in Sydney, Australia and is one of the writers and stars of the brand new ABC1 sketch comedy series, 'The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting' airing in April 2013. 

Other credits include the feature film 'Crooked Business', AFI award winning comedy series, 'Review with Myles Barlow' (ABC1), Logie winning drama 'Sea Patrol' (NINE), 'Sam Simmons Problems' (ABC2) and a stellar turn in ABC1's latest family sit-com smash hit, 'A Moody Christmas' (December 2012). 

Stand-up comedy and music remain Dave's staple as he tours extensively around Australia and internationally in NZ, UK, US, Singapore and even in the Middle East for the Australian Defence Force. In 2012 Dave shared the stage with Academy Award Winner, Robin Williams during his Australian tour and considers it a career highlight. Other highlights include playing sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing at the UK's biggest heavy metal festival 'Download' in 2012. In addition to this Dave has supported touring international comics such as Arj Barker, Rich Fulcher, Jim Jefferies, Jeff Ross and Ross Noble
